Poetry Evening, Adult Craft Class and 1916 Conference
This is a reminder about some events which are taking place during the next few weeks.
On Wednesday 10th February from 6.30 pm we are hosting a poetry evening called "The Merg Sessions" in the library with local poet Kenneth Nolan and guests. If you are an aspiring poet you can come and read from your own work, if you wish. In this case please contact Miriam at mnolan@sdublincoco.ie. Otherwise, if you just want to come along and listen, please book at 01 4620073 or email talib@sdublincoco.ie.
Our monthly adult craft class with Joan takes place on Friday 12th February at 10.30 am. It lasts for ninety minutes. This month the class will be making brooches. Again, booking is essential at 01 4620073 or talib@sdublincoco.ie.
Finally, the flagship event of South Dublin County Council's 1916 Centenary Programme is a conference, called Paths to Freedom, which will be held at Tallaght Stadium on Saturday 27th February between 10.30 am and 4.00 pm. Speakers include Myles Dungan, Joe Duffy, Catriona Crowe, Turtle Bunbury and Elizabeth Gillis. This is a free event but booking is essential.
