Things to Consider before Starting Your Business, a talk by Jim Nolan, IE Network Manager

Thursday 10th March, 10.30 am to 11.30 am

Starting a business can be a fantastic opportunity and an exhilarating ride. But what are the steps you should take before you venture down that path? Jim will take you through all of the relevant considerations including:

  • The why, how and what of business
  • Seasonality
  • Sole trader vs. limited company
  • Vision vs. mission statements, etc.

Peel Your Own Orange: It’s Your Business, a talk by Brigitte Murphy

Thursday 10th March 7 pm to 8 pm

Brigitte’s book, “Peel Your Own Orange: It’s Your Business” is a practical guide starting with finding a business idea to developing it on paper through a business plan. Brigitte feels that business can be for everyone! It is about finding the level that both interests and suits where you are in your life now, and where you wish to be a few years into the future! Brigitte has over 20 years of experience in the workplace and has worked in media and public relations.
