Tallaght Library Events for May 2017

Hello to our newsletter subscribers

The May events guide is available for viewing here (PDF file, 1 MB). Among other events we have 2 new sets of computer classes starting in mid-May and three very interesting talks for those of you interested in history and heritage. The Clondalkin round tower is in the news with the imminent opening of the new heritage centre. Michael Whelan is curator of the collection of the Irish Air Corps and the expert on the subject. The OPW is responsible for maintaining many of Ireland's historical monuments. For those of a creative bent we have an adult Lego architecture workshop, a workshop on making a pom-pom bookmark and our regular class with Joan where she will be making fabric flowers with the group. Last, but not least, is our annual Great Tallaght Bake-off. If you want to participate, email us at talib@sdublincoco.ie with Tallaght Bake-off in the subject field and we will send you an electronic version of the application form. You can print this out and return to the library. Alternatively, application forms are available at the library desk.
