Messines and Passchendaele: The South Dublin Connection, a talk by David Power
Description
After the Battle of the Somme, the campaigns of the Great War continued to take their toll on South Dublin County. Thirteen men from the county have been identified as having been killed in Belgium during two of the iconic and decisive battles of the Great War. One was killed at Messines, twelve perished at the Third Battle of Ypres, also known as Passchendaele. In this talk, David will present the stories of these men in an accessible way.
