Lucan
Lucan Library is a full-time library in the Superquinn Shopping Centre in Lucan. It is situated to the extreme left of the centre, near the Dunnes Stores entrance.
The library was opened to the public in November 2000. It is a bright modern building on the first floor of the Superquinn Shopping Centre and is accessible by lift. It has a large children's area and a seminar room which can be booked by local community groups.
The library serves the growing population of Lucan and surrounding areas; from the historic old village, once the residence of Patrick Sarsfield and James Gandon, to the newly planned urban district of Adamstown.
As well as providing access to material in an ever-growing range of formats, the library is also focal point in the community, hosting exhibitions, language classes, computer classes, reading groups, parent and toddler groups and a large number of other activities for adults and children
