New events for August at Clondalkin library

We have a few extra events which were not in our July/August events brochure.

Story time for ages 3-6 is now on every Tuesday at 3.30 pm. All welcome. No need to book.

We have a couple of special themed story time sessons:

Tuesday 1st August at 3.30 pm: Summer Stars story time with an alien theme "Aliens Love Underpants". Story time and arts and crafts. All welcome.

Tuesday 8th August at 3.30 pm: Super hero story time. You can dress up as your favouritye super hero if you wish. All welcome.

Thursday 3rd August: Early years clay workshop with Kim. For ages 2+

Join us for an early years art workshop. In this session we will have fun making clay birds and nests using air dry clay and lots of natural material from the garden. Children must be accompanied by parent/guardian. Booking essential from Wednesday 26th July. Go to http://ClondalkinLIbrary.eventbrite.com to book.

Thursday 3rd August: Star Wars event for 5-8 year olds. Make Millennium Frisbees. Be put through your paces in Jedi training. Booking essential from Wednesday 26th July.  Go to http://ClondalkinLIbrary.eventbrite.com to book.

Wednesday 9th August. Teddy Bears Sleepover. 6.30 pm. All welcome.

Bring your teddy to the library for a bed time story. Leave him in the library for a sleepover and pick him up the next day from 11 am. Breakfast will be provided for the bears. For ages 3-6. No booking needed.

Summer Stars cards need to be returned to the library by 31st August if you want to come to the presentation on 6th September.

Finally a reminder about the talk on the history of Clondalkin Library on Thursday 24th August at 6.30 pm. We love working in this beautiful historic Carnegie building which is just over 100 years old. There are many stories to be told. Come along to this talk presented by the Clondalkin Historical Society. All welcome. No need to book.
