History events in Tallaght Library, September 2017

Interested in history? We have a number of events this month that may interest you.

Tallaght Historical Society's lecture series begins on Tuesday 12th Sept. with a talk by Gary Branigan on The Fountains of Dublin. 

All welcome.

Culture Night is on Friday 22nd. September and the library will open late between 5.00pm - 8.00pm.

You are invited to visit our exhibition marking the centenary of the third battle of Ypres (Passchendaele).

On culture night the curator of the exhibition will be on hand to answer questions guide people through the exhibition.

Also on Culture Night at 6.30pm Neil Richardson author of A Coward if I return, a hero if i fall - Stories of Irishmen in WWI 

will give a talk on  Irishmen in World War One. 

Light refreshments will be served on the night.
