August 2016 Activities

Dear Friend,

Please find below the activities taking place in Lucan Library in August.

If you’re interested in history and heritage there is a programme of events available here, ‘South Dublin County History and Heritage 2016’, for July to September.

If poetry is your thing then there are just over two weeks left to the closing date for the Red Line Poetry Competition. Entries have to be in by 12 August. More details here: http://www.redlinebookfestival.ie/poetry-competition

Also don’t forget our Summer Stars reading challenge for children. Ask at the library desk for a Reading Card and each time you finish a book you'll receive a stamp. Each completed card receives an award but the goodies are going quickly so better get reading! We’ll have a celebration in early September for all those who took part in the challenge.

Hope you’re having a good summer.

Regards,
