Transient Passages

: An evening of poetry and music with Padraig Daly and Tony Bardon to celebrate Dublin ’s One City, One Book 'If Ever You Go: a map of Dublin in poetry and song'. Padraig and Tony will create a mosaic of poetry and music echoing the wonderful art installation of Róisín De BuitléarTranscience’ which is now a permanent feature of Ballyroan Library, Rathfarnham and is based on Sailing to Byzantium by W.B. Yeats. Róisin will also talk about her installation, explaining the inspiration behind the piece and the process she undertook to create it. This year’s One City, One Book is a collection of poems, ballads and songs from a range of literary luminaries connected with Dublin . The book is arranged street by street so the reader is continually making new connections and discoveries on a virtual tour of the City of Words.
