Does the library have books in other languages?

Yes. A range of mainly fiction titles is available in the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Czech, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Arabic, Malayam, Hindu and Chinese.

Does the library have books in Irish?

Yes. There is a large collection of books in Irish for children and adults.

Are newspapers available at the library?

The Irish Times and the Irish Independent are available daily from each branch library. The Irish Times is also available on our in-branch PCs. Copies of the Tallaght Echo newspaper dating back to 1995 are held at the County Library, Tallaght. The Irish Newspaper Archive is available online at every branch. It stretches back to 1763 and includes the Freeman's Journal, the Nation and Finn's Leinster Journal.
