There are 8 Branch Libraries, 5 full-time and 2 part-time, as well as 4 Mobile Libraries [1].

The Children’s Services department is based at Library Headquarters in Tallaght.

The Home Delivery Service is co-ordinated by the Mobile Library Service which is also based at Library Headquarters.

Opening Hours

Our branch libraries provide a total of 52 hours service per week. Click a library link to get opening hours, contacts, maps, directions and events at an individual library.

County Library, Tallaght [2]
  • Mon to Thurs 9.45 am to 8 pm
  • Fri to Sat 9.45am to 4.30pm
  • Closed Saturdays and Mondays of Bank Holiday Weekends
Ballyroan Library, Rathfarnham [3]
  • Mon to Thurs 9.45 am to 8 pm
  • Fri to Sat 9.45am to 4.30pm
  • Closed Saturdays and Mondays of Bank Holiday Weekends

Ballyroan Library will close on Saturday 3rd September 2011 at 4.30pm.

This closure will be for approx. 18 months.

From Monday 5th of September and until  further notice a library service will be offered in Ballyroan Pastoral Centre, (Beside the Church of the Holy Spirit)

  • Friday  9.45am to 4.30pm
