Whitechurch
Whitechurch Library is a part-time former Carnegie Library on Taylors Lane in Rathfarnham. It was opened in 1911 and has been in use since then. Still in its original condition, the library is open 31 hours a week, providing lending facilities for adults and children. The WEB Project (contact: 01-4957171 or i [1]nfo@webproject.ie [2]), a local community development project which co-ordinates community activities for the Ballydoden area, provides adult education classes, morning afternoon evening in Whitechurch Library. The library also facilitates HSE and MABS activities.
In keeping with our service commitment to promote access to our services for all customers, the library desk has a loop hearing system and assistive technologies are available to computer users. Access to the building is facilitated by a ramp and automatic doors. The library has an accessible toilet. Some tactile signage is provided. The library provides a wide range of stock in a variety of formats including large print books, talking books on CD and online access to our download zone.
