Ballyroan
Ballyroan library is a busy purpose-built library that opened in 1986 which has floor space divided equally between the children and adult areas. There is a seminar room, an area for exhibitions and free internet access computers. The regular events aimed at adults include numerous language conversation classes, computer classes for beginners, various bookclubs, a writers group, and a knitting club. Activities for children include the weekly Parent and Toddler group, storytime for those under six, the chess club and the monthly children’s bookclub. In addition, the library hosts various workshops and once-off events celebrating the cultural life of the community.

Cuairt Údair - Author Visit le Ré O'Leighlis (Part of: Seachtain na Gaeilge)
Ré Ó Leighlis is best known as a writer of novels and short stories. He is the biggest selling contemporary writer in the Irish language. He writes for both the adult and teenage reader and has won numerous awards such the Bisto Book of the Year. Ré’s visit promises to be engaging and fun!

Céilí Mór - le Bastable-Warren Dancers (Part of: Seachtain na Gaeilge)
The Ballyroan based Bastable-Warren Irish Dancers have made many appearances on televison over the years, they have appeared numerous times in the National Concert Hall and Olympia Theatre as well as performing as cabaret and exhibitions across the country. It promises to be a fun filled evening of music and dance. Come and celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge and maybe join in the fun!
