Join the Library

Public Libraries are free and open to all. To join, you will need to present a recent official document showing your current address. This could be a Driver's Licence, an E.S.B. bill or a Post Office Book, for example.

Don't forget that a passport does not show an address and therefore can't be accepted.
Young people will need to have permission from their parent or guardian. Parents can join their children from birth.

There is no charge to join the library. You will be charged 25c per item per week if you return your books after the due date, but reminders will be posted to you when your books become overdue.
